Job Description:

Support the growth and operation of our BTLS Employer by coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, events and office operations. Help connect organisations across industry, academia, government and the wider semiconductor ecosystem while ensuring the smooth delivery of meetings, workshops, visits and day-to-day administrative activities.

The role combines event management, stakeholder engagement, communications support and office administration, providing an opportunity to work across the UK semiconductor ecosystem and contribute to national technology and innovation priorities.

The successful candidate will work across all areas of the organisation's activity, helping to connect people, organisations and opportunities across the UK semiconductor ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Support engagement with companies, universities, investors, government bodies and other ecosystem stakeholders. 
  • Maintain stakeholder records and engagement activities within CRM and related systems. 
  • Assist with stakeholder mapping and relationship management activities. 
  • Coordinate introductions, meetings and follow-up actions between organisations. 
  • Support ecosystem research and intelligence gathering activities. 
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen connections across the semiconductor ecosystem. 
  •  

Events & Community Building

  • Plan and deliver events hosted by our BTLS employer at its offices and external venues. 
  • Support workshops, roundtables, networking events and ecosystem meetings. 
  • Manage event logistics including venues, registrations, catering and attendee communications. 
  • Coordinate speakers, participants and external partners. 
  • Support post-event reporting and stakeholder follow-up. 
     

Organisational Support

  • Support engagement activities across core areas including skills and workforce development, investment, international partnerships, marketing and communications, technology initiatives and stakeholder relations. 
  • Assist the CEO, COO and wider team with meetings, visits, workshops, delegations and ecosystem engagement activities. 
  • Help coordinate interactions with industry, academia, government and international partners. 
  • Support preparation and delivery of events, conferences and external engagements. 

 

Office & Executive Admin Support

  • Support day-to-day office administration and facilities management. 
  • Admin support for the CEO
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, visitors and office services. 
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers. 
  • Support travel, meeting and diary logistics where required. 
  • Assist with procurement and administrative processes. 
  •  

Communications & Coordination

  • Support newsletters, stakeholder updates and event communications. 
  • Assist with maintaining stakeholder databases and mailing lists. 
  • Coordinate internal and external communications related to engagement activities. 
  • Support reporting on engagement outcomes and participation metrics.
     

 Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Experience organising events, meetings or stakeholder activities. 
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills. 
  • Experience coordinating multiple activities simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. 

 

Desirable

  • Experience working with CRM systems. 
  • Experience supporting membership organisations, trade associations, innovation networks or public sector programmes. 
  • Experience managing conferences, exhibitions or networking events. 
  • Familiarity with communications platforms such as Mailchimp. 
  • Interest in technology, innovation, research or industrial policy. 
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders from industry, academia or government. 

 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Practical experience in event management, business administration, communications, public affairs, marketing, customer engagement or a related discipline. Relevant experience, organisational ability and interpersonal skills are more important than formal qualifications.
